Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport is the largest and most important Portuguese airport. To signal the 80th anniversary of this entity, ANA Aeroportos challenged us to develop the identity, the communication campaign, and the activations for 2 events to celebrate the anniversary.
With the goal of bringing the various moments experienced during Lisbon Airport’s 80 years to the present day, we created the “Making Stories” concept.
Making stories is more than a message, it is a life manifesto that defines an 80-year-old airport, a stage of countless stories with many good moments to tell and remember, whether you are a passenger, employee, or partner. And a good story is something that no one forgets, which is why it is also important to craft stories that leave memories behind. Despite its long history, we wanted the anniversary to be marked with current and contemporary communication, with a graphic identity that represents the relationship and union between employees and partners.
ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal (Portuguese Airports) is expected to reach different audiences through different events, one external for passengers and another internal for employees.
The festivities went on for two days. Several activities, such as the challenge of making paper planes and throwing them over a depiction of the airport strip, and lots of music, from jazz to the 80s, performed by an acoustic band, were the highlights of October 15th.
In addition, the internal event took place on the 17th, where the memories of 80 years of existence were shared. It was a day with several musical moments, a display of old and recent photographs, and the screening of a video produced for the occasion.
