Creating pathways to knowledge
BRIEFING
To develop an intuitive signage system that allowed for a quick navigation to all visitors, professors, students and collaborators from Catholic University of Portugal (Porto Centre).
SOLUTION
After several weeks of study and analysis of signage systems from other renowned universities, public spaces and large superficies the road was ready:
– Reorganization and new numeration of all spaces;
– Define the critical circulation areas;
– Synchronization of the floors from the different buildings;
In a search for the solution for the signage system, we came across a low-cost and decorative solution that capitalized the existence of a big number of white walls.
RESULTS
– Great adhesion by professors, students and collaborators;
– Easy and quick adaptation from students;
– Better circulation from visitors;
– Modernization of the University image.
