The Catholic University of Portugal – Porto organized for the first time the TEDx UCP Porto with the main theme being Coopetition. Mojobrands was the activation partner chosen to communicate this initiative.
Inspired by the theme of this event, the game tic-tac-toe was the basis for the whole activation since it plays with letters and symbols X and O, which are also present in the words Cooperation and TEDx. As these two elements will be key players in the game, they were present during the whole graphical communication.In the atrium of the conference a large scale of the tic-tac-tie game was installed in collaboration with Oupas Design.
We chose to collaborate in order to compete, and thus we chose to create different game logics throughout the event, with complementarity always being present between the two concepts. The flyers design allowed people to play tic-tac-toe by finding a partner in order to have all the necessary “pieces”. The posters were modular and able to represent several games. The ping-pong games followed the same line of thought – the need to find a partner to play and simultaneously promoting networking.
