The launch of the new color of the Samsung Galaxy S9|S9+, Sunrise Gold, led to a challenge: to create an event for influencers where the new color would be presented, all the features of the smartphone would be clearly showcased, and moments would be generated that could generate content for social media.
The Golden Hour was the inspiration for this event. We didn’t want to enjoy just one Golden Hour, but rather, two. We wanted to get the influencers to explore their new smartphone from sunup to sundown, making the most of every “instagrammable” moment. The golden light was the perfect setting to enjoy remarkable experiences, best captured by the Samsung Galaxy S9|S9+. Hence, the concept: Sun Followers.
For the event location, we wanted a place where the sunset and sunrise would surpass all expectations. The Alentejo and its plains had all the ideal traits. And so, the destination was settled: Évora.
The first moment of the event was dedicated to the Galaxy S9+ Showcase, where guests were able to test the smartphone’s main distinctive features in a fun way, like the ability to be submerged in an aquarium with rubber duckies, the Live Translation of posters or the Super Slow-mo with a leaf blower.
This was followed by a moment to relax in a yoga class. The day ended with adinner overlooking the sunset, onde where they had the chance to enjoy atypical meal from Alentejo.
The highlight of the event was made literal by a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. Despite the clouds, the trip exceeded all expectations with a golden hour that was both surprising and memorable. From the top of the balloon, the influencers were also surprised with a large-scale message that marked the beginning of the trip. Once the balloon landed, a picnic awaited them, where they had breakfast while reliving the moments and emotions of the trip.
