BRIEFING
To celebrate Águas do Douro e Paiva’s 30th anniversary, the brand wanted to create an institutional event that would be more than just a commemorative date: a moment to bring together employees, past and present leaders, institutional partners, and representatives from shareholder municipalities, recognizing the importance of each in building the company’s history. The goal was to reinforce the brand’s legacy, highlight its connection to the region, and project its commitment to a sustainable future, creating a memorable, symbolic, and emotionally resonant experience.
SOLUTION
Mojobrands developed the creative concept “The Path that Unites Us”, which brought to life a unique celebration held at the Museu do Carro Elétrico in Porto, a venue deeply connected to the city and the region’s history. The experience began with a ride on a historic tram along the Douro riverfront, evoking the significance of the company’s journey and the territory it serves.
Upon arrival at the museum, guests were welcomed with a drink, followed by the institutional session, where two exclusive pieces created for the occasion were presented: the commemorative book “The Future Flows Like a River”, designed by Eduardo Aires with photographs by Francisco Piqueiro, and the artistic piece signed by architect Eduardo Souto de Moura and produced by Vista Alegre, immortalizing Águas do Douro e Paiva’s 30 years with a tangible creation of great symbolic value.
The event continued with a dinner held in a carefully designed and decorated setting that combined graphic elements inspired by the movement of water, audiovisual projections, and immersive scenography, creating a striking and memorable atmosphere.
The evening featured live musical performances, tribute speeches, and a collective toast celebrating three decades of commitment to the region, water quality, and the communities served.
With the presence of Carmona Rodrigues, President of the Águas de Portugal Group, along with mayors and former board members, the event brought together 161 participants in a gathering marked by emotion, recognition, and connection. It strengthened Águas do Douro e Paiva’s ties to the past, present, and future of the water sector.
